Temblores invites to the presentation of ritmo volcán, in a conversation between the artist Minia Biabiany and Eva Barois De Caevel, moderated by Adrian de Banville and the curator Yoann Gourmel, which will take place at the Palais de Tokyo this October 22nd at 5pm. This conversation will take place in the context of the artist’s solo show difé and the group show Scheherazade, at Night at the Palais de Tokyo, with the participation of Minia Biabiany, Miguel Gomes, Ho Tzu Nyen, Pedro Neves Marques, Lieko Shiga, and Ana Vaz.
ritmo volcán is the first monographic catalog of the artist Minia Biabiany. Based in Guadeloupe, her artistic practice has become central to reflecting on the ongoing process of colonization in the Caribbean. The book features a conversation between the artist and curator Yina Jiménez Suriel, two essays by writers and curators Eva Barois De Caevel and Ana Gabriela García, as well as some short stories written by the artist.
