Celebrating the anniversary since the first exhibition of the then fledgling collection of the Solidarity Museum in 1972, the exhibition In the Jungle There is Much to Do. 50 years MSSA, held in 2022, asked about the continuity and contingency of the founding principles and values that gave birth to the Museum. The exhibition was curated by Chilean María Berríos, who was one of the four curators of the recent 11th Berlin Biennale (2020).
The exhibition included works by Santos Chávez, José Gamarra, Teresa Gazitúa, Eduardo Vilches, Noor Abuarafeh, Roberto Matta, Joan Miró, Marta Adams, Clemencia Lucena, Taller 4 Rojo, Paula Baeza Pailamilla, among others.
We invite you to check out the digital catalog of the exhibition En la selva hay mucho por hacer, published by Ediciones MSSA. The bilingual publication includes the curatorial texts that were part of the exhibition, as well as photographs of the galleries and their works. It also highlights the activities that took place as part of the Circulation Program, MSSA Radio, among other activations associated with the exhibition.
