Every month Marginalia invites an artist, curator or project to provide a series of images that will serve as the background of Terremoto, in relation to their practice and current interests. At the end of each month, the identity of our guest is revealed and the whole series of images is unveiled.
These drawings are part of a group of approximately 800 illustrations I’ve done for the magazine piauí throughout 10 years.
Well-humored in general, this little reports, that open the magazine, have diverse issues, they go from the daily rutine of a signature counterfeiter, or about the colossal termite nests at the interior of Bahia, to the separatist movement of São Paulo.
This selection shows, inside this diversity, that many times a metonymic resource is used to comment on the reports, those with a policial charge.
