There is no need to trace the commonalities that characterize a generation or nationality. Nowadays everything is interrelated: potatoes, the PlayStation, hashtags, political videos, karaoke, landscapes, wrinkled papers, a visit to the ophthalmologist, wrapped up dead bodies, a bank window, or a shoe mat.
This selection of artists reveals the different tendencies that permit a formal and conceptual freedom of association and identifies the plurality and diversity of the works that make up the exhibition.
Entrada libre (Free Entrance) is the show’s title, through which Espacio KB (Bogotá, Colombia) takes over Galería Karen Huber as a symptom of globalization and a form of cultural exchange.
Or perhaps… it is just an excuse to exhibit in Mexico City.
