Through this section, monthly, we invite agents of the artistic system to share a selection of images related to their practice or current interests. Images are published daily in the header of our website and shared through our Instagram profile. At the end of the month, the complete selection of images is published together with a text that contextualizes them. Here is the selection of August 2022.

Daniel de la Barra’s selection includes productions made in Peru, Italy and Spain. From the intersection of artistic practices, decolonial thought and political ecology, the work delves into the discursive and aesthetic problems that arise from the representations of Latin American nature. This production will give us the opportunity to investigate, from a global perspective, the colonial conflicts that have relegated nature to a subaltern space of exploitation and domination, as well as to analyze the problem of landscape representation understood as an extractive process and an exercise of power.
