Virginia Lázaro Villa

Is a Fine Arts graduate from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, where she obtained the Fellowship of collaboration with the Department of Aesthetics and Art History. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Visual History, she studied at the Reina Sofía Museum of Contemporary Art, specializing in art criticism. Among other professional dedications she has worked as a playwright, art critic, and editor. She was co-director since 2015 of the platform and contemporary art magazine nosotros, in which she participated as an editor since 2012. Through her theoretical research and work as an artist, she reflects and investigates contemporary iconoclastic behaviors, new resistances, and the possibilities of the political on the Internet, as a new alternative space of presentation/ representation.
