Direlia Lazo

is an independent art curator and advisor based in Miami. Most recently, she was Director of Exhibitions at Faena Art in Miami and Buenos Aires (2016-2021), where she coordinated and curated site-specific public art installations and immersive projects by Miralda, Roger Hiorns, Cecilia Bengolea, Alfredo Jaar, Isabel Lewis, Wu Tsang, Osías Yanov and Alexandre Arrechea, among many others. She has curated exhibitions including “Mountains with a broken edge” for the 12th Havana Biennial and the first survey of Roman Ondàk in China presented at Times Museum Guangzhou. In 2017 she created the Havana Art Weekend, a four-day event presenting a robust program of exhibitions, open studios and performances throughout the city of Havana every year in December.
