Albeley Rodríguez-Bencomo

Is a writer, teacher, critic and art curator. She is a doctoral candidate of the Latin American Cultural Studies Program of the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar (Ecuador Campus), and holds a Master’s Degree in Cultural Studies, Major in Cultural Policies from the same house of studies (2010). She has a Master’s Degree in Museology (UNEFM, Falcón-Venezuela), and a Bachelor of Arts, Major in Art History, (ULA, Mérida, 2000). She is currently a college professor and autonomous curator. She was researcher/curator of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo of Caracas from 2003 to 2015 and, between 2015 and 2016, Postgraduate Director of the Universidad de las Artes (Guayaquil, Ecuador). She is the author of the book Cuerpos irreales + arte insumiso en la obra de Argelia Bravo (2014). She has published articles in specialized magazines in Argentina, Chile, Spain, Ecuador and Venezuela.
