My epidemic – Lili Reynaud Dewar

MXN 7,000.00

Lili Reynaud Dewar’s scarf is taken from a series of works made about the AIDS crisis in the 90s, including My epidemic (Small Modest Bad Blood Opera) produced for 2015 Venice Biennial.

The text describes an episode of resitance against AIDS in the 90s and the various moral problems that arose of such activism in a disturbing and cut-up way. Such scarves are often presented in Reynaud-Dewar’s work on the floor or on pieces of furniture, but it may also be worn as a garment.

Lili Reynaud graduated from the Glasgow School of Art. She currently lives and works between Grenoble and Geneva. Her work has been exhibited at the 56th Venice Biennial, as recently at C L E A R I N G, Brooklyn, USA and Emanuel Layr, Vienna.
