Is an art critic, curator, professor and editor based in São Paulo. He has been curator at Frankfurter Kunstverein (2006-2008), and at MINI / Goethe-Institut Curatorial Residencies Ludlow 38, in New York (2008-2011). Associate curator of the 30th São Paulo Bienal (2011-2012) and co-editor of publications OEI #60/61 Extra-disciplinary spaces and de-disciplinizing moments. In and out of the 30th Bienal de São Paulo in 2013 e OEI #66 poema/processo in 2014, among others. He holds an MA in Curatorial Studies from the Royal College of Art, London, UK and is a Phd candidate of Poéticas Visuais at ECA-USP, São Paulo. He contributes from São Paulo to contemporary art magazines like Artforum, Frieze and Aperture. Tobi Maier is a co-founder of the exhibition space SOLO SHOWS in São Paulo.
