Rolando López

Artist, holds an undergraduate degree in Graphic Design and an MA in Social Sciences and Humanities with an emphasis on communication from the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes.  He recently won the award given by the KADIST (Artist Circle Award/summer 2017) for young contemporary art pledges. He has made residencies of artistic production at the EESI École Européenne Supérieure de l’image/Angouleme, France; And in Artpace/San Antonio, Texas, United States (2017). From 2014 to date he has developed the project “Aguascalientes Guggenheim Museum”, within which he has played several facets as an artist, historian, anthropologist, coordinator, curator, researcher, inventor and museographer. This project has been exhibited in Mexico City (2015), in Queretaro (2016) and in San Antonio, USA. He has participated in several collective and individual exhibitions, as well as in events of sound art (Festival Aural 2016). He is a founding member of Agencia A.C. organization that aims to investigate in-depth about the art system of his locality. He is a graduate of the first generation of the SOMA Educational project (Mexico City 2013.) He has been a state scholar (2011-2013) and national (2007-2012) for the development of culture and arts in the area of visual arts (alternative media).
