Liliana Hernández Obando

She is the director of Plecto Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo in Medellín, she has a Master in Plastic Arts from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Antioquia and a Master in Cultural Management from the same institution. She was part of the coordinating and production team of the Medellín City Art Festival in 1997, from the same year until 2000 she served as curator in the arts section of the University Museum of the University of Antioquia. During her stay in the United States, she was an independent curator and manager of curatorial projects with artists from Medellín in various independent and institutional cultural spaces in South Carolina, she was co-curator and director of assembly of the exhibition “La Ruta de la Seda” in the Historic Museum, Greenville South Carolina; manager and curator of the “Latin American Art Show” and “Latin American Hispanic Film Festival” at Clemson University in South Carolina. In 2010 she coordinated within the program Presupuesto Participativo de la Alcaldía de Medellín, the Festival of Art and Performance of Comuna 4. She participated in the co-curation of the Regional Artists Salon, from “Micro to Macro” at the Palacio de la Cultura in 2010 ”, in recent years she has been curator of independent projects with local and national artists, as well as being curator and assembly director of the contemporary art auction organized by the Santiago Corazón Foundation.
