José Luis Arroyo Robles

His work investigates the spaces that people build, inhabit, and/or modify, moving between the utopian representation of the city, public housing policies, the architectural configuration as a trigger of memory, and the practice of drifting for the questioning of the public space. He’s been selected to participate in the Bienal Universitaria de Artes Visuales, Bienal Puebla de los Ángeles, and the Bienal de Arte Contemporáneo BARCO. He served as a curatorial assistant at the XIV FEMSA Biennial and since 2019 co-directs Aberrante, in southern Morelia. He is currently attending the Seminario de Producción Fotográfica del Centro de la Imagen and coordinates the Laboratorio de Enfrentamientos Utópicos.
