She is the author of the novels Todo en otra parteand Los niños, the collection of short stories Ponqué y otros cuentos, the collection of humoristic writings Yosoyu, the children’s book Dalia (Norma, 2010), and the essay Alfonso X, el Rey Sabio. She has written columns for the newspaper El Espectador, the magazine Arcadia and Semana.com. She holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic and Portuguese Literature from Yale University. She taught literature and creative writing at State University of New York-Purchase College and at Los Andes University in Bogotá, where she is currently Associate Professor.
