As a Colombian independent journalist based in Barranquilla, she has focused on issues of art and culture, social justice, and human rights in Latin American communities. Her articles and special reports have appeared in VICE, The New Humanitarian, OkayAfrica, Remezcla, Latino USA, EATER, Fusion (Splinter News), LA WEEKLY, PRI, and Contemporary and América Latina (C & AL). She studied literature and has an MA in Journalism from the University of Southern California.
