Alicia Herrero

Alicia Herrero is a visual artist and teacher. She develops her work in multiple media, promotes collective projects in articulation with the community and alternative forms of institutionalism. Among the main awards she has received are the First Prize in New Supports and Installations at the 103rd National Visual Arts Salon (2014), the First Prize at the 2019 Fortabat Foundation Award and the National Award for Artistic Trajectory 2020/21, within the framework of the National Visual Arts Salon. In 2021 she participates in the exhibitions Inventar a la intemperie, Desobediencias sexuales e imaginación política en el arte contemporáneo, at the Parque de la Memoria and Las formas de la economía o la economía de las formas, at the Museo del Banco Central, in the context of the BienalSur. In 2022 he presents Algo(de)ritmos, instrumentos, mutaciones at Herlitzka+Faria gallery. His work is part of collections of national and international public and private institutions. Lives and works in Buenos Aires.
