Jon Pylypchuk (1972, Winnipeg, Canadá) es un pintor y escultor canadiense que vive y trabaja en Los Ángeles. Su trabajo antropomórfico multimedia incluye escultura, pintura y dibujo. Su acercamiento con el ensamblaje DIY (Do It Yourself, por sus siglas en inglés) es frecuentemente descrito como inteligentes, desgarrador y alegremente cínico.
Pylypchuk estudió en 1996 en la Escuela de Verano de Música y Artes de la Universidad de Yale, obtuvo un BFA en 1997 por parte de la Universidad de Manitoba, y un MFA en 2001 en la Universidad de California, Los Ángeles. Fue miembro del colectivo de artistas conocido por The Royal Art Lodge integrado por Michael Dumontier, Adrian Williams, Neil Farber, Marcel Dzama y Drue Langlois. Sus exposiciones en museos incluyen: el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Cleveland, el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Detroit, UCLA Hammer Museum en Los Ángeles, el Museo ZKM en Alemania, el Royal Academy en Londres, State Hermitage en San Petersburgo y el Musee d’Arte Contemporaine, Montreal.
