From March 25th to 29th, 2026, the sixteenth edition of Ch.ACO will take place, the largest edition in the history of Chile's International Contemporary Art Fair. As part of March as Visual Arts Month, the fair will activate an agenda that extends throughout the city with tours, visits, and parallel programming, reinforcing Santiago as a destination for contemporary art and strengthening international circulation networks.
This year, Ch.ACO-16 will be held at Metropolitan Santiago (Vitacura), in a 5,500 m² venue that allows for a fair on a new scale: more than 50 exhibitors from 11 countries—Canada, the United States, England, France, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and Chile—along with a territorial presence from different regions of the country. Emerging scenes, established careers, and historical pieces coexist in the same space, under the narrative of Unlikely Encounters.
One of the central themes of this edition is its institutional dimension: Ch.ACO-16 will feature acquisition awards linked to national and international museums—in the United States, Peru, and Chile—promoting the arrival of institutions that travel to the fair with a focus on viewing and acquiring Chilean works. Added to this is a program of talks with key voices from the curatorial and museum circuit.
