During this art week, two exhibitions are opening at kurimanzutto: El pozo de agua and Surface, edge and voids (expanded).
Oscar Murillo presents El pozo de agua, his first solo exhibition at kurimanzutto. The artist has developed a multifaceted and challenging practice that encompasses painting, collaborative projects, video, sound, and installation. In each body of work, the artist explores ideas of collectivity and shared culture, demonstrating a commitment to the power of material presence and complex reflections on contemporary society.
On the other hand, Leonor Antunes' second exhibition at kurimanzutto presents new work based on the material exploration that the Portuguese artist has developed over the last few years. Together, the works in this exhibition trace a network of material, historical, and spatial relationships that connect different geographies and generations.
