Galería NAC participates for the second time in Feria Material Vol.12. Presenting six Chilean artists with a proposal that explores consciousness, matter, and the tensions of the present.
The curatorial proposal for this edition is marked by the body and technology “Cons_ciencia” (Consciousness), from the perspective of quantum science: “Consciousness is the foundation of being, and matter is a possibility within consciousness, so consciousness can select one of the possibilities to become a fact” (Dr. Amit Goswami). In this sense, reality could be interpreted as an accumulation of probabilities that vary according to the trends of the context. These conceptions allow us to reflect on the dual nature of some ambiguities inherent to humans and their contradictions. The vicious circle of creating, inhabiting, and destroying, only to repair, reveals the complicated human condition in its interaction with the environment, where consciousness functions like a comb that untangles knots in a tangled loop.
