This Thursday, January 29, we inaugurate El cantar del caos-mundo at Casa del Lago UNAM, an exhibition that brings together Latin American imaginaries from the spiritual and the poetic, grounded in Caribbean thought.
Curated by Luis Graham Castillo and Terremoto as part of the second volume of the Travesías program, the exhibition conjures Édouard Glissant’s archipelagic thinking in order to understand chaos as a sensitive way of engaging with contemporary contradictions, opacities, and forms of resistance.
Here, imagination brushes against the sacred, summons colonial specters, and activates the fantastic as a tactic of survival and political affirmation.
Opening: January 29, 2026, 6:00 pm
Venue: Sala 4, Casa del Lago UNAM
Exhibition on view through: May 3, 2026
Participating artists:
Julianny Ariza, Nicole Chaput, Miguel Cinta Robles, Edizon Cumes, Eugenia Martínez, Devin Osorio, Naomi Rincón-Gallardo, RojoNegro, Luisebastián Sanabria, and Carla Sobrino.
Don’t miss it!
