From November 23 to 29, arteBA Fundación together with Meridiano, Cámara Argentina de Galerías de Arte, and more than 130 spaces from 18 Argentine provinces launch PANORAMA – Art Galleries Week in Argentina, a federal event that places visual arts right at the center of the national cultural agenda. Through a series of digital and face-to-face activities, the galleries will have the chance to show their exhibitions and the works of more than 600 artists.
The initiative will work around a web platform from which visitors can access the works exhibited in the galleries and information to schedule appointments in person. It will also include a calendar with the programming of virtual and face-to-face activities in different parts of the country. All proposals will be free of charge and will be carried out under the rules of the health protocol corresponding to each province or municipality.
Finally, also from the web platform Mi Primera Obra will be carried out, an incentive program to bring new buyers closer through a selection of works with accessible prices.
PANORAMA – Art Galleries Week in Argentina aims, in this way, to weave a network between galleries, residences, artists’ collectives and independent spaces in order to visibilize the production of the visual arts sector, to reach new audiences, to experiment with new exhibition formats, to reactivate the local scene and, at the same time, to strengthen the links between the artistic agents of our territory.
