Parque Bicentenario de Vitacura, Santiago
March 25, 2020 – March 29, 2020
The second decade of Ch.ACO is already underway. The most important Contemporary Art Fair in Chile is getting ready to make its 11th version, from March 25 to 29, 2020, which will be placed for the first time in Parque Bicentenario of Vitacura.
This fair, dedicated to the promotion of collecting and contemporary art along with its democratization, will receive more than 20 galleries and publishers worldwide. Chile, the US, Spain, Cuba, Peru, Brazil and China are some of the countries that will land in Santiago.
For this 11th version, three concepts that stand out in our contemporary world were sought: environment, connectivity and creative women. The latter concept noteworthy through an exhibition built entirely by women that can be seen during the fair.
In Ch.ACO 2020, collecting and artistic production will continue to be promoted. Therefore, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will acquire a work of art exhibited at the Fair for its permanent collection in Washington, D.C. through the Procurement Program.
Likewise, it seeks to enhance the value of printed books, given the relevance that Ch.ACO sees in the protection of memory and heritage. Therefore, a contest was opened with the Ograma publishing house so an editorial and/or an artist can print a publication in the Artist Book area. The call is open until January 31, 2019 and the winner will be awarded during the Ch.ACO Fair next year.
