BADA is an artist-focused art fair that seeks to promote established and emerging artists in a direct way, with an audience interested in meeting the creators of the works without any intermediary in between.
BADA is the democratization of art. A place where buying art is easy, direct and accessible, an innovative proposal that demonstrates that art can be for everyone, presenting a concept of the art market in which the public gets involved with the artist and the artwork in a closer and more personal way.
In 2009 the “artist’s focus” revolution began in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the vision of its founder and creator of the concept, Ana Spinetto, who together with Leni and Daphne Ibargüengoytia brought BADA to Mexico City in 2020 and, since its first edition, it has positioned itself as one of the most important fairs within the Art Week.
In 2022 BADA was presented for the first time in Madrid, Spain, becoming the largest no fuss art fair in the world.
BADA breaks down the barriers that often accompany the art buying process. The format is simple, without intermediaries or commissions for sales.
Its open-call for entries was launched to the general public, calling for individual artists and artist collectives in the categories of painting, drawing, engraving, photography, digital art, tattoos, sculpture, textile art, street art, land art, installations and artistic jewelry. Artists who would like to participate must send 4 images of different works and their curriculum vitae so that they can be evaluated by the selection committee.
