After successfully closing its second edition in Mexico City, the UNAM Biennial of Arts and Design consolidates itself as an international platform and launches its third edition titled Resistencia Intangible: ideas para posponer el fin del mundo [Intangible Resistance: Ideas to Postpone the End of the World], which opens its call for Latin America and the Caribbean from June 3, 2021 and will have a period for dissemination from February to April 2022.

The theme Intangible Resistance: ideas to postpone the end of the world, aims to strengthen collaboration between groups of students and professors from public and private universities in Latin America and the Caribbean to materialize research and action projects where the arts and design have a binding role with specific communities and address problems that afflict them.

As an effort supported by the Faculty of Arts and Design (FAD) of the largest university in Latin America, the UNAM Arts and Design Biennial offers a media showcase that gives international visibility to the network of art and design students and universities.

Moreover, this edition establishes a new Biennial model as a platform for the horizontal exchange of knowledge, articulating art, design and social action, and consolidating mutual learning strategies to give rise to long-term alliances among the participating collectives.

The 3rd Biennial of Arts and Design UNAM is presented from June 2021 to April 2022, to reformulate itself as a platform for horizontal exchange of knowledge, with the support of the largest university in Latin America.
