The Jan van Eyck Academie invites the public to join its annual Open Studios during which 43 participants will reveal what they have been working on during their residency period. This year, the involved artists, designers, architects, writers, and curators will present their work not only in the academy building, but also online, allowing the public to experience the event from the comfort of their own chosen location.
The event will run in parallel across physical as well as digital environments. Composed of performances, screenings, writers’ talks, presentations, installations and more, the Open Studios programme will allow the audience to discover thought–provoking works, to dive into our Open Studios 2021 website, and to interact with the participants in The Fourth Garden. From 16:00 – 17:00 CEST, the participants will host digital openings and take the audience on virtual tours throughout their works.
The online programme takes places every Open Studios day from 19:00 – 21:00 CET. More information about the programme can be found on the Open Studios website.
