TAJO is a multidisciplinary production space where artistic and related projects are developed. Founded in 2019 by Miguel Ángel Salazar and Carlos Iván Hernández, TAJO bases its practices on conceptual dialogue and plastic experimentation between artists and specialized technicians, thinking and proposing new aspects of aesthetic production and contemporary Mexican and international art.
On this occasion TAJO publishes their first open-call for a residency that will take place in 2022. The workshop team will provide theoretical and practical support for the development of projects, giving the artist the availability of tools and materials that the workshop houses for the realization of works. For this occasion, the residency is aimed at the general public, accepting the proposal of 2 artists residing outside or inside Mexico City, as well as emerging or mid-career artists.
The residency functions as a space for discussion where artists will be provided with the knowledge to produce their pieces with the services offered by the workshop, functioning as a space for the exchange of ideas and processes that can derive in multiple aspects. The reception of projects will end on December 8.
