Los justos desconocidos results from the collaboration between Oscar Benassini, Karmelo Bermejo, Brenda Castro, Fernando García Correa, Cristóbal Gracia, Willy Kautz, Mauricio Limón, Tláhuac Mata, Víctor Palacios, Cy Rendón, Manuel Rocha, Gabriel Santamarina, Ling Sepúlveda, María José Sesma and Benjamín Torres.
The show resolves around the figure of the Unknown Righteous (Tzadik), who are personalities from the Jewish tradition that act from disinterested hospitality and generosity thus becoming symbols of justice. The Hebrews believe that there are thirty six of these characters in the world who don’t know each other and ignore that they possess these virtues. Therefore, their acts are absolutely genuine.
The machine room is a new investigation and experimentation platform through art projects. Its first show takes place at Francisco Pimentel 3, colonia San Rafael. It will soon have its own location where it will carry on with its experimental programme.
