OLHÃO is pleased to present the duo show Good afternoon to the things down here by Tiago Mestre and Dudi Maia Rosa. The exhibition can be seen as a narrative that focuses specifically on one’s relationship with the landscape, referring to the deep and ancestral connection between natural and built form.
The conceptual starting point is the thought-exteriority connection that is present in the universe of the two artists, the affinity of the work with the sensual world, with the landscape, with the body and with the cosmos. Sculpture is understood as one of the privileged means of mediating these two instances of the creative process: thinking and doing.
