Michael Thibault is pleased to present the first west coast solo exhibition by Swiss artist Tobias Spichtig. For this exhibition, Spichtig will present an installation of sculpture, painting, and sound w o r k , t i t l e d ” Ba c k d r o p s f o r P r i m i t i v e s .”
Tobias Spichtig (Born, 1982) is a conceptual artist based in Zurich, CH & Berlin, DE. His work includes a variety of media such as photography, painting, sculpture, and film. Spichtig’s practice often debates the notion of reality and its conception in regard to an everchanging perceptual awareness of images and their temporal apparition. His work has been shown at Witte de With, Rotterdam, Kunsthaus Zurich, and the Ursula Blickle Foundation.
