#75: Papalota Negra

Through this section, monthly, we invite agents of the artistic system to share a selection of images related to their practice or current interests. Images are published daily in the header of our website and shared through our Instagram profile. At the end of the month, the complete selection of images is published together with a text that contextualizes them. Here is the selection of October 2021.

We are Papalota Negra editorial, we specialize in fanzines and collaborative processes in order to create a dialogue between texts and images, writers and visual artists. Since 2017, we have worked with 56 different collaborators for a total of 36 publications, in addition to editing special projects such as “LGBTIQ + Discrimination” from the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Centroamérica Foundation and “Tarot Yohualli Ehecatl Deck and Book” from MiCorazonMexica. Each “Papalota” is a conversation, an unexpected process. For this edition of Terremoto, we selected samples from different publications, each one containing aspects of Central American identity: their views, concerns and questions (or exaltations).
