Richard Ibghy & Marilou Lemmens

Richard Ibghy & Marilou Lemmens create installations, videos, sculptures, photography, and artist books, amongst other things. For several years, they have examined the power and history of science and other forms of knowledge, including the language of
economy, the magic of statistics, the capacity for models to impact the future, the aesthetics of data visualization, and the design of laboratory. Their work tends toward the re-sensualizations of abstractions through objects and actions. Two fleas quarreling over who owns the dog they live on, their on-going exhibition at The Grantham Foundation for the Arts and the Environment (Canada) “brings together works that relate to the land that we share, the territory that we appropriate, the soil that
we care for, and the ground beneath our feet”. They live and work in Durham-Sud (Québec).
