Nohora A. Arrieta Fernández holds a Ph.D. in Latin American Literature and Cultural Studies from Georgetown University and is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles. She writes on literature, poetry, visual arts and the intellectual tradition of the African diaspora in the Americas. She has published essays and art chronicles in Contemporyand, Artishock and other digital media, as well as articles in academic journals. She is co-founder of Mare Projects.
