MANTERA is a contemporary art gallery that since 2017 that inhabits the space of popular fair in the city of La Banda, Sgo del Estero, northern region of Argentina. In addition to containing artists’ work, it also tries to highlight the daily struggle of artists (precarious workers, on the margins of legality, in the black and without a ticket). It speaks of similar practices, of survival inherent to the social, economic and cultural; of the search for circulation and commercialization that is invented/fictionalized to try to find answers to the question: Where is the money for artists? And finally, it intends to continue to manage the desire for popular collecting!
