She is an artist from Northern California currently based in Detroit, Michigan. She works in various mediums including video, photography, and basket weaving to discuss topics of migration and indigeneity informed by her
family’s experiences. Cruz Santiago holds a BFA in Photography from Sonoma State University and an MFA in Photography from Cranbrook Academy of Art. She has exhibited her work in solo and group shows in Chicago, IL, Seattle, WA, San Francisco, CA, and Detroit, MI
