Ixchel Ledesma

Studied a master’s degree in curatorship at the Tres de Febrero University in Buenos Aires Argentina, she is also an art consultant and independent curator. Her topics of interest are migration, the body, the territory and the discussion between major and minor arts with special emphasis on textile materiality. Ledesma is interested in personal and collective searches that question binary gender concepts, proposing alternative models of power relations in the artistic field. She currently works in the area of ​​curatorship and inter-institutional relations at the National Museum of Art in Mexico City, she is an advisor to private collections in Mexico City, London and Buenos Aires, a member of the jury of the 16th International Triennial of Tapestry in Łódź, Poland, is a member of the Clavel curatorial collective and in charge of VIP relations for Gallery Weekend Ciudad de México. She has had exhibitions in Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Montreal among others. Lives and works in Mexico City.
