Visual artist and textile designer from Costa Rica. Her work explores the plurality of bodies, genders and identities and the relationships they establish with time, space and memory. She seeks to question, analyze and rethink the normative reality from new ways of experiencing the everyday. There is an autobiographical element in her work and in which she uses textile media and techniques to shape her work. By sewing, knitting, knotting, embroidering and dyeing I assume a position that has been historically occupied by women and feminine and dissident identities from the private sphere, and at the same time understand it as an act of resistance and enunciation that speaks of existence per se and of a rejection of the denigrating value that has been given to these practices, in a search to re-signify them.
