Emma Kohlmann’s work explores dreamlike situations through a symbolism drawn from erotica, ancient statues and figurines, as well as mythological narratives. As a fusion between animal creatures, nature motifs and androgynous human bodies exploring their own corporalities, Kohlmann depicts several dreamscapes in which characters coexist almost as a reminiscence of some idyllic past, but also as an imaginary way of collective experience.
