Davo Valdés de la Campa

Writer and film critic. He has been a Beneficiary of the Stimulus Program for the development and artistic creation in 2009, 2011 and 2017 in the areas of short story, novel and poetry. At the end of 2011 he was winner of the call for publication of unpublished work of the Editorial Fund of the Institute of Culture of Morelos with his book, Ignoto. He has also published Relatos de un mundo depravado (EdicioZetina, 2009), Despertar (Astrolabio, 2014) and El silencio de los hipopótamos (Lengua de Diablo-Acálasletras, 2016). In 2015 he was the winner of the Second Film Criticism Contest, organized by the Cineteca Nacional, the French Embassy, Contra Campo TV and Corre Cámara. In 2015 he participated in the Talents Critiques program at the Critics’ Week of the Cannes International Film Festival and in 2017 in the Berlin Talents of the Guadalajara International Film Festival. In 2016 he was invited to Portugal as part of the celebrations of the Semana Mexico Joven in Braga, Ibero-American capital of youth. In 2016 he founded with Amaury Colmenares and Fabiola Valdés the project Ruina Tropical. In 2018 he served as
Director of Communications of the Museo Morelense de Arte Contemporáneo Juan Soriano. In 2019 he was part of the collective Palmera Ardiendo. He is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Editorial Production at the Institute for Research in Humanities and Social Sciences of the UAEM.
