Dafne Cruz Porchini

Curator and researcher. She received her doctorate from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and is currently a researcher at its Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas and a member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores in Mexico. From 2015 to 2017, Cruz Porchini completed a postdoctoral residency at Colegio de México. Her primary research is on modern Mexican art, with a focus on collections and exhibition history. She is the author of Art, Propaganda and Cultural Diplomacy at the End of Cardenismo (1937–1940) and co-edited the catalog Paint the Revolution: Mexican Modernism (1910–1950). She was the recipient of the Genaro Estrada Award for best doctoral thesis on international relations, given by the Secretary of Foreign Affairs (2014). She has curated various exhibitions in Mexico and abroad.
