Clara Bolívar

Researcher and curator on modern and contemporary art. Master in History from the Ibero-American University and has a degree in Cultural Sciences from the University of the Cloister of Sor Juana. She belongs to the 2017 generation of the Siqueiros Project Art Critical School: La Tallera, INBA and the 2018 generation of the Independent Curators International CDMX Curatorial Intensive.

Researcher at the Blaisten Collection Museum, CCUT – UNAM, at the National Museum of Art, INBA, at the Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes, INBA and at the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo, UNAM as part of the team at the Arkheia Documentation Center. In the latter, she was co-curator of the documentary exhibition Expandir los spaces del arte. Helen Escobedo at UNAM, 1961 – 1979 (2017).

She coordinated the study circles Political Histories of Objects (Biquini Wax EPS, June – July 2018) and Nosotres, juntes, todes: Collaborative Strategies and Art in CDMX (Local21 – Radio Nopal, January – March 2019).

Since 2018, she co-directs with Alí Cotero the Office of Artistic Accompaniments Tlaxcala 3, a self-managed space for reflection on contemporary art. She is currently carrying out the research Objects before and after the wall (Tlaxcala 3 – The Institute for Endotic Research, May – November 2019), a project that has benefited from the 2019 sponsorship of the Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo for theoretical and curatorial research.
