Ana Lucía Ixchiu Hernández

Ana Lucia Ixchiu Hernandez is indigenous Maya K’iche, feminist, human rights activist, artist, cultural worker, and communitarian journalist. She was born in Totonicapán, Guatemala in 1990. She became an activist and journalist after the Cumbre de Alaska massacre on October 4, 2012. She was an active participant in the student movement since 2012, representing the student body of the Architecture School (2014-2016) and is a co-founder of the Festivales Solidarios, Mujeres en Movimienta, and a member of many of the spaces of communication in Latin America.
