Amilcar Packer

Was born in Santiago de Chile in 1974 and moved to São Paulo, Brazil in 1982. He graduated in Philosophy at the University of São Paulo (USP) and has a master degree in Clinical Psychology at Pontifícia Universidade Catôlica de São Paulo (PUC-SP). Packer transits between discursive and performative practices operating to reconfigure the grammar of social spaces, proposing the production of situations as relational fields for collective learning dynamics and knowledge production. He co-directed the residency program CAPACETE Entertainment (2012-2013) regularly collaborates with Casa do Povo, organizes the ongoing performative research machine Doris Criolla and is one of the co-founders of P.A.C.A. – Program for Autonomous Cultural Actions. He has co-organized educational programs at Ludlow 38, New York, U.S.A. 2014; Städelschule, Frankfurt, CCA-Lagos, Nigeria, 2012; Beta Local, San Juan, Puerto Rico, 2011; Campos do Jordão, Brazil, 2008; Sydney Biennale 2004, among others.
