América Canela is a visual artist, visual arts profesor and cultural agent. She currently coordinates the educational area of Identidad Marrón, a collective that fights for anti-racist public policies in Argentina and Latin America.She is also an advisor specializing in education with an anti-racist perspective. As an artist she questions the various forms of lack of access to basic rights of the working class neighborhoods and the survival strategies of said class in these consumer societies and migration from the global south.
