Amanda Carneiro

Graduated in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP) with an exchange program at the Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) in Mozambique. Master in Social History (USP) with a grant from CAPES / CNPq. She was a member of the international cooperation program of the Prussian Cultural Foundation at the Ethnological Museum in Berlin, Germany. She worked as an educator at the Afro Brazil Museum, where she also served as the Coordinating Assistant of the Education Center. She was a content manager and trainer at ÍRÈTÍ – Black Culture Training for Educators, a project that she co-devised and co-coordinated and was implemented with resources from ProAc, from the São Paulo State Secretariat of Culture,  developing topics related with African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture. In 2016 she was a member of the UN International Decade of African Descent (2015-2024). She is currently an assistant curator of mediation and public programs at the São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP) where she was curator of the exhibition Sonia Gomes: I still i rise(2018).
