Alexandra Kennedy-Troya

is a long-time historian of Latin American art and architecture. She is a university professor and independent researcher associated with a variety of national and international institutions. She has created and directed three editions of the Jornadas de Historia del Arte y Arquitectura (HISTAA), from the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad de Cuenca. She has carried out countless curatorial projects in Ecuador, America and Europe. She has been present since the creation of the Cuenca Biennial in 1987, publishing countless critical essays about it, both in local newspapers and in specialized magazines. She is currently pursuing a second doctorate in Arts at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá.
